Fun! The core loop was easy to grasp and pretty satisfying up until level 10 or so. Then I kinda started wishing there was more variety. Stuff like:

  • Getting to add new nodes/lines to my layout (or levels that come with specific layouts to change things up). Maybe even having a map with previews of different level layouts and getting to pick the ones that fit best with my build.
  • Different kinds of special nodes/lines, and upgrades that synergize with those things
  • I liked the green lines that would appear and incentivize using a particular line to get an upgrade. Wish there was more stuff like that, giving me conflicting priorities. Something like enemies that appear and threaten to destroy a node unless you clear them within a certain number of moves.

Basically wish there was more stuff that made me think harder about how to draw my lines. Right now it usually feels pretty obvious which ones will be best.

I totally get your input. If this was a bigger project that I was going to spend more time on, I would really try to add more stuff. Your suggestions are cool!

I’m going to focus on other projects for now though, but maybe I’ll come back to this one some time in the future. Cheers!
